Good afternoon, Singapore! Good morning, Germany! What an energetic start into my day with you, Fiona! There are so many exciting things to come! Thanks for sharing your perspective on how we include our colleagues into #WhyWeDoIt! Looking forward to our next call across time zones!
Hi! I am Ulises Castro from the Active Oxygen division in Mexico, I love my job because the smart materials we manage are so versatile for example the Hydrogen Peroxide is a compound that has endless uses, and I am astonished every time that we have a new project having a new application because I can learn from it and apply it with new clients and with this I contribute to change the word by having innovative and green solutions that can be replied! I find challenging when we have to develop new projects as well, and finding a solution to specific needs, I like to be so versatile and always evolving as Hydrogen Peroxide is, and I am always eager to help our clients in all they need and with the knowledge that I know in order to fulfill our goals, and finally I believe this is a work`s team and I like to work hand to hand with everybody in order to achieve our goals. I believe in Evonik we are like a big family changing the word with so innovative solutions! #LeadingBeyondChemestry#WhyWeDoIt#LeadingBeyondChemestry
I do it because of my team. Because I love what I do. Because of the positivity. It’s great to see that with the smallest things, you can make people happy & proud. Together with my team, I try to give Evonik employees a voice and to share authentic insights into the Evonik world - there are thousands of interesting stories (many more waiting to be told). And it was my job to send these stories around the world through social media. I have learned a lot in these four years and now, moving on to a new position I know that I’ll keep the #HumanChemistry spirit. Because my team showed me why I want to do this and why it is important to do this on every new working day.
Looking back on my time in the Employer Branding Team I can say that I am proud of what we have achieved, and I am sure that we are changing the Evonik world – even if it’s just a little bit.
As a working student in the cultural development team, I can not only work on topcis that are important to me but also support the company to grow together as ONE Evonik.🖤🌎
When speaking of the spring in Japan, you cannot help but speak about sakura or cherry blossoms. These fragile, short-lived flowers are the center of attention for a few weeks in March and April throughout the country.
"If sakura did not exist,
How quiet would it be
How calm could I have lived this season."
This poem, written by the famous Ariwara no Narihira, states that, if the cherry blossoms did not exist, he would not have been excited by the arrival of spring in the slightest; rather, he would have been able to enjoy a very peaceful, but dull, life.
Beauty, graciousness, transience, new life. The sakura have been the flower of the spring in Japan for these reasons. When visiting Japan after the Covid-19 pandemic is over, please make sure of seeing the cherry blossoms at least once in your life, the sight of them may inspire new understandings of Japanese culture and sprits.
The Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 gave a huge shock to people all over the world. Though 10 years have passed, we still remember all the devastating sceneries through TV news. The supports not only made by Evonik group in Japan, but also from many colleagues in Evonik groups worldwide, where some of them even donated their lunch money by skipping their meals. I was so touched by reading the warm comments for the Evonik Today's article "Don't forget 3/11!" I am very proud of being a part of this great group. Let's think together about what we can do for them now!
