It has now been more than a month since I started my internship at Evonik in Employer Branding. In addition to my wonderful colleagues, I have already been able to work on many exciting projects. I am particularly fascinated by accompanying or supporting people stories. The conversations as well as the contact with people from different fields are not only very interesting, but also very different due to the diversity of the people. Especially the cultural and personal background literally make each people story unique. Through the experiences and different perspectives of these people, I have the privilege of gathering valuable insights and advice for my own professional career. I would like to thank the whole Employer Branding Team for their warmth and fantastic support.
Time is over! The last 365 days have been a great, challenging, and overwhelming time! I would have never expected to grow professionally and personally in the way I did – in a period that short. Thanks to an amazing team, that always supported and encouraged me! It’s that #EmployerBranding Team spirit, that made every day special. I’m more than grateful, for the colleagues I meet and friends I made.
On September 1st, I started my 6 months internship in the Employer Branding department of Evonik Industries in Essen. On September 2nd, I already felt integrated in a young, creative team that welcomed me very warmly.
I started working on my own tasks as a part of the team and I am very excited about the upcoming months at Evonik Industries.
I am very happy to show you the final outcome of my videoshooting.
Together with Kai and Sadaf from Onboarding and Nils from Employer Branding I have set up a new video format in which employees of A&R introduce theirselves in a 30 seconds Quick Fire Interview.
Excited to be the first one sharing her video with you on #HumanChemistry. Stay tuned for the next videos!

Networking with other students within Evonik. Hearing interesting lectures from professional experts. Looking beyond the boundaries of one’s own department and being informed about the activities of other functions or regions. - The regular Coffee Talks of the Students @Evonik Community offer all of this. The topic of today's event was: "The role of the chemical industry in circular economy." Thank you Christian Mbaya Mani for your exciting presentation!
Spotlight on! Got the opportunity to set up a new video format with my intern colleagues Rebecca from Talent Acquisition as well as Kai and Sadaf from Onboarding. We are really excited to present our short video clips soon.
Why do I do what I do? I have to admit, when I heard the question on the first day of my internship, I was not quite sure what to say.
But now, after about two months, it is not difficult for me to find a suitable answer. I do what I do, because I love to excite and inspire people and to bring real and credible company values into the world. I do what I do to gain experience and to grow with new challenges every day. I do what I do, because the wonderful Employer Branding team welcomed me as warmly as I could not have imagined.
I do it, because at Evonik #HumanChemistry is not just a word. The Chemistry is really right here. I cannot wait to see what is in store for me in the next four months!
Why do I do what I do every day? As part of #WhyWeDoIt, the employer branding team asked me about my motivation regarding my personal and professional life. The answer is clear: It’s about the people, it’s about representing company-values I really believe in and which I am proud of. I am looking back at a 6-months-Internship in a team full of good-hearted, motivating, encouraging and inspiring people. Memories last forever – but not only the memories, also the experiences and life-lessons I had during this time. My motivation is to look back on a meaningful life one day while telling myself: “You learned, you grew and most important - you collected all these memories that nobody can take away from you”. Thank you Evonik, for making me indulge in my motivation in life.
