UNITECH is a long-standing Evonik partner network for engineering students from all over the world. Engineering students and company representatives from international companies met at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona this January. Evonik employees were also in Barcelona as company representatives. They acted as advisors for the three case studies developed by Evonik and supported the students in their work. 

As every year, the case studies deal with currently relevant topics. This year, the case studies were designed to develop new platforms for data integration in the chemical industry, innovative solutions for CO2 emissions, and new learning models for membrane performance. The results were presented at the end of the week to the whole group and company representatives. In addition to working on the case studies, the UNITECH Midterm Week also gave the students the opportunity to talk to the company representatives and establish valuable contacts.

UNITECH International is a network consisting of leading European technical universities and international companies. Within a twelve-month program highly talented engineering students complete a semester abroad at one of the partner universities as well as an internship at one of the partner companies. In addition to that, the students complete three coaching modules on intercultural cooperation, teamwork and communication. The idea is to create a link between highly qualified engineering students and the companies at an early stage.
