Option A
Decentralized production concepts - The future for the chemical industry?
Can decentralized production concepts be used for producing feedstocks for chemical industry? Example for feedstock: Ethanol, renewable raw materials
Characterize each player in the value chain
Collect information about natural raw materials available in the value chain
Collect information about logistic concepts / analyze the structure of the logistic concepts
Option B
Circular Economy - What kind of chemical and technical developments are necessary to make products fully circular?
Chemical industry sees itself as a key player to enhance product properties (e.g. reuse of consumer goods)
What properties make a circular product attractive for end consumers? What are potential unique selling points?
What kind of chemical or technical developments are necessary to achieve the desired properties?
What is the market potential of chemical or technical products for circularity in 5 and 10 years? It may be helpful to address the full market potential of circular products as a basis.

In the kick-off meeting on March 15 we will explain the topics of the challenges in detail and also answer all of your questions.

Live-Pitch event
On April 5, all teams get the opportunity to present their solutions in a virtual pitch event and a jury will award the best presentations. The winners receive cash prizes.
