#HumanChemistry wins "Internal Communication” award

Evonik's HumanChemistry employer branding campaign wins the German Award for Business Communication (DPWK) 2019 in the Internal Communications category.

"Turning all interested employees into Evonik ambassadors has been the goal of our employer branding campaign since 2017," says Thomas Wessel, CHRO. "We changed the way we communicate with our employees and target groups. Therefore, we are very happy to receive the award as an amazing recognition for our new approach.”

Employees add to the image of Evonik as an employer by sharing photos and snapshots of their everyday work at #HumanChemistry on the careers website. Every day, colleagues from different Evonik regions publish posts and give potential new employees a valuable insight into the company's culture. When the award was announced the DPWK jury acknowledged Evonik's "extraordinary courage and trust in its employees.”

The global employer branding campaign #HumanChemistry is aimed at existing and new employees with the message that behind strong products are strong employees. They have their say in employee stories on the careers website and on social media channels at Evonik. Employees from all over the company are the voice and face of Evonik’s employer branding campaign, not only in the social media channels of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn but also in advertising images, covered in background stories and sharing their perspective of Evonik on the careers website.
