Leading Employers - Evonik is the most attractive employer in the chemical industry for the second time in a row

Out of more than 70,000 companies Germany's leading employers were honored. Following on from 2018, Evonik was once again able to position itself as the best employer in the chemical industry this year. In the cross-industry ranking, Evonik improved from 22nd place in 2018 to 11th place, making it one of the top 20 most attractive companies in Germany.

"The repeated award as the best in the chemical industry is a valuable confirmation of our employer qualities," says Thomas Wessel, Executive Vice President Human Resources and Labor Director of Evonik. "Our #HumanChemistry campaign stands for strong employees who are behind strong products.

In Leading Employers, the companies in Germany were examined neutrally and independently according to a variety of criteria. An evaluation of several million metadata based on a scoring model with a weighting matrix determines the best percentage of all companies across different industries, company sizes and organizational forms. Sources such as employee evaluations, best practice data sets, target group surveys, sustainability criteria and social monitoring form the basis of the study.

The results from the areas of image, employee satisfaction, prosperity, HR expertise, understanding of values, health management and employee offerings are essential for the assessment of companies. Every target group, from interns and young professionals to professionals, was taken into account. In addition to the in-depth qualitative evaluation of the application channels offered by companies, statistical calculations from professional networks were also included.

3. works GmbH is the publisher of the Leading Employers Award in media partnership with the "ZEIT" publishing group. According to its own statements, Leading Employers is the most comprehensive consideration of employer qualities.
