It has now been more than a month since I started my internship at Evonik in Employer Branding. In addition to my wonderful colleagues, I have already been able to work on many exciting projects. I am particularly fascinated by accompanying or supporting people stories. The conversations as well as the contact with people from different fields are not only very interesting, but also very different due to the diversity of the people. Especially the cultural and personal background literally make each people story unique. Through the experiences and different perspectives of these people, I have the privilege of gathering valuable insights and advice for my own professional career. I would like to thank the whole Employer Branding Team for their warmth and fantastic support.
My grandfather wrote this beautiful piece of Japanese calligraphy (shodō, which means way of writing) as a gift, stating my full name and birthdate. This traditional form of art reminds me of my family origins, so brave and courageous in moving from Japan to Brazil in the pursuit of a better life. From my father side, I have Portuguese and native Brazilian roots, and this combination of unique cultures makes me who I am. In order to be an open-minded global citizen, I embrace this diversity that allows me to see the world from different perspectives, adapting to every situation and group of people that I work with.
Hi everyone, how is it going? My name is Carlos and I am Product Line Manager at Evonik. I’m glad and honored to be the next guest editor for #HumanChemistry! In the next posts, I’ll share my thoughts about people, diversity, international career, sales and marketing, as well as about who I am. I’m counting on you to have an interactive and informative conversation!
Paella...Hmmm. It is part of my heritage and cannot be absent on our table when we celebrate with family, share with friends or make new friends. But what makes it so delicious? The diversity! There is not one single recipe, there are plenty of possibilities or variants simply by blending different ingredients. It is the mixture and the combination of different flavors that create unique taste experiences. Likewise, companies resemble a paella and people are the ingredients.
Paella... Hmmm.
