Why do I do what I do? I have to admit, when I heard the question on the first day of my internship, I was not quite sure what to say.
But now, after about two months, it is not difficult for me to find a suitable answer. I do what I do, because I love to excite and inspire people and to bring real and credible company values into the world. I do what I do to gain experience and to grow with new challenges every day. I do what I do, because the wonderful Employer Branding team welcomed me as warmly as I could not have imagined.
I do it, because at Evonik #HumanChemistry is not just a word. The Chemistry is really right here. I cannot wait to see what is in store for me in the next four months!
Why do I do what I do every day? As part of #WhyWeDoIt, the employer branding team asked me about my motivation regarding my personal and professional life. The answer is clear: It’s about the people, it’s about representing company-values I really believe in and which I am proud of. I am looking back at a 6-months-Internship in a team full of good-hearted, motivating, encouraging and inspiring people. Memories last forever – but not only the memories, also the experiences and life-lessons I had during this time. My motivation is to look back on a meaningful life one day while telling myself: “You learned, you grew and most important - you collected all these memories that nobody can take away from you”. Thank you Evonik, for making me indulge in my motivation in life.

During the last two years of my apprenticeship at Evonik I was able to meet great colleagues from all over the world - and also got to know interesting departments, for instance Employer Branding, where I am currently working at.
Working in various departments on several sites- I always received a warm welcome and support. I really enjoy working in an open-minded environment that allows me to develop and to joyfully face new challenges every day.
Every single morning I get to log on to my laptop and help push Evonik to be the best company that it possibly can be. I do this along with the support of my amazing, global Employer Branding team. Together, we work to promote Evonik's mission all around the world.
The answer to the question #WhyWeDoIt has clearly given me the last five months of my internship: It is the wonderful Employer Branding Team I am allowed to work with, it is the people with whom we are in contact every day and who tell us their personal and professional story. Whether in People Stories, People Insights or like on the picture together with my colleague Nils on a video shoot - it's great to be able to work with so many interesting personalities every day! 💜
As Digital Media Manager for Employer Branding, I am always on the lookout for stories throughout the company. During this process, I have the chance to network, to listen - and most importantly - to learn from colleagues all over the world. Social media is a great tool in our hands that allows us to share these authentic stories on a global scale while fostering intercultural learning as well as intercultural inspiration within and outside of Evonik.💜
