Phill, Felix and I have been working together on an exciting new product launch: CAPLUS® is an amine with acid gas (for example, CO2 and H2S) absorption capabilities that can be used in the treatment of natural gas, biogas and syngas. These markets and applications are relatively new to us, therefore we have been building our market intelligence, market strategy and market execution plan. All the evidence suggests CAPLUS® is better than existing products, and we hope it will play a big part in helping our industry to manage its carbon footprint. Current activities focus on the four P’s - Product, Price, Place and Promotion, which strongly address our customers’ needs (commercial, technical, logistic) and our value proposition (differentiation to competition). We are targeting a global product launch and the different background, responsibilities and perspectives that the three of us bring are decisive to our success.
