Career & Skills: Thomas Wessel Meets Young Talent
How does a career work? What skills will determine the working world of tomorrow? Thomas Wessel, CHRO and Labor Relations Director of Evonik, addressed these questions as a guest in the event series "Talents meet...".
In the "Talents meet..." format, pupils, apprentices and students have the opportunity to get in touch with important personalities from politics, business, science, media and society.
As part of the event, Thomas Wessel entered into an interactive dialogue with 130 Ruhr talents and answered their questions about his professional career and his fields of activity. The young talents gained insights into the role of a board member and labor director, learned which skills and characteristics are important to successfully assert themselves in the business world and received valuable career tips on their way.
Following the dialogue, the young talents had the opportunity to learn about apprenticeships, dual study programs, and other career opportunities from Evonik apprenticeship and employer branding.
