Evonik certified Top Employer China 2025
On January 16, Evonik was honored for the 18th time as a "Top Employer" in China, ranking in the top 14. This marks Evonik's 9th appearance in the top 20.
The certification was awarded by the Top Employer Institute, after an evaluation through 20 topics under 6 areas. Evonik showed exceptional performance in the key areas of career development, employee well-being, diversity, talent strategy, organizational change, and corporate values.
" Our continuous efforts to enhance the talent management system have led to new highs in several employer metrics, with 14 categories receiving perfect scores, " said David Cheng, Vice President of Human Resources Asia Pacific North. “Evonik views talent as its core asset for achieving sustainable growth. We will continue to implement the talent strategy to attract talent in China and create sustainable value for the industry and society."
To support the career development of employees, Evonik offers a comprehensive platform and multiple talent initiatives like the "Explorer" projects. Since 2022, 65 employees in China participated in the talent programs and achieved rapid development.

The company also leads in promoting diversity in talent development, demostrated by the "Grow Beyond Yourself" program, which supports female students in chemical engineering at vocational colleges. In 2024, Evonik received nine awards from industry and media, including the influential CSR China Top 100 Award.
The Top Employer certification, initiated by the globally recognized Top Employers Institute, evaluates the talent practices of participating companies through the "Best Practices in Human Resources Survey Questionnaire," covering six key areas: talent strategy, work environment, talent recruitment, learning, well-being, and diversity and inclusion.
