Evonik Makes Charitable Donations
Evonik is helping university students who have been impacted by Covid-19 and food insecurity.
With career fairs being held in a fully virtual environment, Evonik’s Employer Branding and Process Technology & Engineering teams have allocated money traditionally spent on student give-a-ways towards charitable donations to ten of the university campus food pantries where the teams attended career fairs this year.
In addition to that, Employer Branding also donated to Engineers Without Borders USA on behalf of our two partner organizations, Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), whose career fairs were attended last month.
Knowing that the implications of Covid-19 have added additional financial strain to students and their families, Evonik believes that these donations will not only present the greatest opportunity to connect with our student community, but that they will also serve as an example of how Evonik strives to lead beyond chemistry.
The universities to which Evonik has donated to the campus food pantries of are: Auburn University, Purdue University, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, University of Texas at Austin, University of South Alabama, University of Tulsa, Lehigh University, University of Kansas and Georgia Tech.
