Evonik receives the "leading employer" award
In the world's most comprehensive survey of employer qualities, "Leading Employers", the employer qualities of around 100,000 companies in Germany were evaluated. For the third time in a row, Evonik was awarded the first place in the chemicals sector and improved significantly in the cross-sector ranking.
"Leading Employer - we see this as an award and a mission", says Thomas Wessel, Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director. "Our employees can rely on their employer. We guide the people in our company through these difficult times and support and protect them with many measures, such as digital working".
Evonik took first place in the Chemicals segment. In the cross-industry ranking, Evonik improved from 11th place in 2019 to 6th place, making it one of the top 10 most attractive companies in Germany.
The main criteria for assessing the companies revolved around areas of corporate image, employee satisfaction, prosperity, HR expertise, understanding of values, health management and employee opportunities. Each target group, ranging from interns and career starters to professionals, was considered. In addition to an in-depth qualitative evaluation of the application channels offered by companies, statistical calculations regarding talent communication were also taken into account.
Particularly good evaluations were given in the area of employee opportunities and offers such as company pension schemes, flexible working hours or health measures.
Leading Employers is the most comprehensive employer evaluation system of its kind in the world. The award is based on millions of freely available data and transforms various quality criteria into a holistic view. In addition to employee offers and employee satisfaction, other significant levels are included in the study, which go well beyond the usual standards of employer branding measures.
