On July 15th, 2021 is World Youth Skills Day! It celebrates the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
We at Evonik are convinced that education and continuous learning are the key drivers to personal and entrepreneurial growth - for both our young and experienced employees. Through various learning formats, such as the Evonik Learning Hour or the Reverse Mentoring Program, our colleagues have the chance to foster their individual and professional development on a daily basis.
Reverse Mentoring: Cross-generational and cross-cultural learning are a source for innovation and personal development. Evonik’s Reverse Mentoring Program therefore gives employees the opportunity to develop their skills and to broaden their knowledge by encouraging less experienced employees to mentor more experienced employees all over the world, thus resulting in mutually enriching relationships. This exchange between employees, however, not only leads to the acquisition of new abilities and competencies but is also intended to broaden the horizon of our employees far beyond their work.
Evonik Learning Hour: In addition, our Evonik Learning Hour, a weekly, internal and digital training course, offers employees the opportunity to receive further training on a wide variety of topics and to share their knowledge with other colleagues from all over the world, within one hour, once a week. This includes topics such as retirement planning, Office 365 but also a special episode with our CHRO.
