Daniela Embraces Change and New Challenges

Daniela is a fighter. She has experienced a lot of change in her life, so much, that she grows though the countless challenges she faces.

A career plan is important to achieve professional goals. What would you counter with?

In course of my life I changed jobs several times – but this was not my plan from the very beginning! Being the oldest girl of six siblings I had to take responsibility at a very young age and I had learned to listen to the adults in the family. My family did not understand my decision to study business economics since I had already finished a vocational training and was working.

I was the first person in my family to study. In general my positive mindset and natural curiosity kept me going. It was actually my friends and my network that pointed me into a new direction. So it happened that I gained experience in international hotel business, an international law firm, an American car rental company and of course global supply chain management where I am still working in.

Today I can say the different professional stations were also a journey to better understand and find my strength. Before every job change I asked myself questions like “What did I learn?” and “How can I use this experience in my new position?”. Essential to me is to have clarity on the own goals, what you want to achieve.

Constant change seems to be a part of your life. How does this affect you?

Experiencing many career changes has made me stronger. Each transition has been a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth. From a young age, taking on responsibility as the oldest daughter taught me resilience and the importance of listening and learning from others.

Pursuing my studies in business economics, despite my family's initial doubts, was a testament to my determination and curiosity. The diverse roles I've held have all contributed to a deeper understanding of my strengths and capabilities. Before each job change, reflecting on what I learned and how to apply those experiences has been crucial.

This mindset not only helped me adapt to new environments but also empowered me to leverage my past experiences in meaningful ways. Overall, these career changes have shaped me into a more versatile and resilient professional.

Your conclusion?

Be interested and be interesting. Be open to change and be ready to take on new challenges – even, when the going gets tough!
