You've been working in dental industry for 22 years, why is this job so appealing to you?

Toothpaste is a "simple" product but actually with technical complexity, used globally, twice a day, and by billions. Every tube blends perfect balance of science & art to provide efficient cleaning, satisfied sensory, cosmetic attributes and therapeutic functions.

After 22 years working in dental industry, specifically as a toothpaste formulator that keeps me hooked is the intersection of innovative technology, tangible impact, and constant evolution and it makes the industry never get old.

What fascinates you about your daily lab work?

Even after decades in the lab, my daily work on toothpaste application still feels like a mixture of exploring process, chemical artistry, and materials engineering - all in the pursuit of a product that’s innovative to most of our customers until it succeeds.

Recently, at the Evonik's product show, I had the opportunity to introduce the application of silica in toothpaste and share some tips on protecting teeth and choosing the right toothpaste. This event not only sparked a lively response from everyone but also made me deeply aware of their attention and enthusiasm for oral health. Being able to help them better understand our products and the benefits they bring fills me with pride about my work and the innovative solutions we provide!
