For the Sixth Year in a Row: Evonik is Leading Employer 2023
Evonik has received the Leading Employer award for the sixth time in succession, placing it among the top 1% of employers in the German labor market. The company ranks first in the branch-specific ranking, making it a frontrunner on the employer market in the chemical sector.
Evonik has received the Leading Employer award for the sixth time in succession, placing it among the top 1% of employers in the German labor market. In addition to topics such as attractiveness, work-life balance, and youngsters, the areas of talent communication, satisfaction, and benefits were also taken into account in the evaluation, where Evonik was particularly convincing.
"We are delighted that Evonik has been ranked among the best employers in Germany across all sectors for the sixth time in a row and has taken first place in the chemical industry. This award shows our appreciation of the commitment and dedication of our employees. For us, this recognition is at the same time an incentive to become even better”, says Thomas Wessel, Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Relations Director of Evonik Industries.
To identify the top 1% of employers in Germany, a meta-study analyzes around 1 million historical and current data and 160,000 companies. The results are then placed in relation to one another, revealing discrepancies, correlations, and derivations. According to the organizers, this allows a significantly higher level of validity than a single study.
As one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies, Evonik views this award as confirmation and motivation for its global activities as an employer. The company occupies a strong position globally as an employer: People are the focus of Evonik's work and its employees are the foundation of its success. The company has repeatedly received a number of international awards for its employment & recruitment practices, including the "HR Excellence Award" in Singapore, the "European Excellence Award," the "Leading Employer Award" for women in the US, and the "Top Employer Award" in China.
"As a global company, our success comes from the dedication and motivation of our employees, as well as our commitment to #HumanChemistry, because human relationships are a key factor in our successful growth. The sixth consecutive Leading Employer award is a great accomplishment for Evonik and confirms the importance of investing in our people”, says Anne McCarthy, Global Head of Employer Branding at Evonik
The outstanding expertise of its 33,000 employees around the world and their high level of motivation are crucial to the company's success in challenging markets. Evonik therefore offers an attractive working environment by identifying and developing the potential of each individual employee in the company at an early stage to identify possible career paths.
