Chau Jin: Hi Everyone, welcome to Evonik Methionine South East Asia Limited. In 2014, Evonik commissioned its first Asia Pacific production complex for MetAMINO^® which is an essential amino acid.

Chau Jin: DL-methionine is used in sustainable animal feed on Jurong Island, Singapore. Then in 2019, to better serve the strong demands and customers in Asia, Evonik opened its second production complex for DL-methionine right next to the first one.

Chau Jin: Today with an annual nameplate capacity of 300 thousand tonnes, the Singapore site hires a workforce of more than 300 people and operates a continuous manufacturing process 24/7, producing DL-methionine and serving key markets in Asia and around the world.

Chau Jin: In addition to that, a medical center with experienced full-time nurses and paramedics is also available at the site to deal with any form of medical situation. Annual health screening is also conducted for the employees on-site at their convenience to safeguard the medical wellness of the workforce.

Evonik has multiple sites in Singapore, including two production plants on Jurong Island, one in Tuas, and one in Gul Crescent. In addition to our Asia Research Hub in Biopolis, we have a sales and administrative office in Jurong East.
